How the rankings are made
- About 10,000 routes connecting the 550 largest airports in the world have been ranked using our turbulence forecast archive and evaluating turbulence along available flight tracks recorded during the year.
- Turbulence is given in eddy dissipation rate (edr). The turbulence levels are light (0-20), moderate (20-40), mod-sev (40-60), severe (60-80) and extreme (80-100).
