Note on the maps
The maps are generated using data from the GTG forecasts provided by NOAA/NWS and the Met Office. They are updated every 6 hours.
In the turbulence map, some regions at lower altitudes might not show data due to being below the terrain. Wind maps show data over these regions by interpolating between the closest available points over the terrain. Turbulence forecasts cannot do this due to safety concerns of plane collisions with mountains.
